FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this for?

DealChaser is built for small business owners, founders, consultants, and lean sales teams that want a practical way to manage opportunities without the overhead cost of a traditional CRM.

What is the difference between Solo and Team versions?

Solo is a local install for one user on Mac or Windows.

Team is installed on your company server or NAS, supports up to 5 users, and is accessed through a browser.

Solo and Team do not share the same database. If needed, you can export data from one version and import it into the other.

Because Team is fully accessible from a laptop through the browser, there is no need to install both. Team also includes DealChaser Solo free.

Do multiple users share visibility of deals?

Yes. In the Team version, all users share visibility of the same deals and opportunities, so everyone stays aligned on pipeline status, updates, and next steps in real time.

Each user can also filter and view their own opportunities, making it easy to focus on individual responsibilities while still maintaining full team visibility.

Is this a cloud CRM?

No. DealChaser is not a cloud-based CRM.

The Team version runs on your own server or NAS and is accessed through a browser, giving your team access from any device while keeping full control of your data.

The Mac and Windows versions are native applications designed for single-user use on a local machine.

How does this compare to existing CRMs?

DealChaser was built by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, with a focus on the features that are often missing in traditional CRMs.

Unlike many CRM platforms, DealChaser includes full Excel import and export, giving you complete control over your data. Combined with its simple design, one-time purchase model, and ability to run in your own environment, it offers a more practical and flexible alternative to complex, subscription-based systems.

Can I import my existing data?

Yes. DealChaser supports full Excel import and export. A simple template helps you structure your data so you can get started quickly and keep everything portable.

Can I back up my data locally?

Yes. You can export your data to Excel at any time, giving you a full backup stored directly on your own computer.

Does Team support remote access?

Yes. Remote access on the go is available when your NAS or server is configured for external access.

Is there a monthly fee?

No. DealChaser is sold as a one-time purchase — no recurring costs, no surprises.
